Wave World releases "Lost Tracks" as Christmas Surprise.

Only a few people know, that in 1998, when Wave World was looking for a record label to release its music, the band had already finished two (2!) complete albums instead of only one. To be more specific: a relaxed, ambient album and a more rhythmic and melodious one.
As it happened (more or less by accident), the ambient work was chosen to be released as the first Wave World album: "Species", released on Quantum Records in 1999. And we all know what happened after that... Soon we got so much involved in the preparations for the concerts and the development of our 3D computer graphics show, that we almost forgot about "the other album"...
Almost, but not completely!
By coincidence a couple of Wave World fans (re)discovered the existence of this second album, and ever since that day, they have been asking us to release it on CD. But Wave World wouldn't be Wave World if we wouldn't do it just a tad different.

As a Christmas surprise, we offer you 6 out of 8 of the very first Wave World songs - through the internet! Completely free for you to listen to! We have digitally remastered the tracks from the original DAT-tape - and boy, do they sound fresh, and sparkling, and powerful!
You might wonder, of course, what happened to songs nr. 7 and 8? Well, there's a special story to them. Track number seven is a rather unique thing in the world of Electronic Music, and a phoenix for Wave World: a cover! It's a modern version of John Barry's wonderful "Theme from the Persuaders" (remember Roger Moore and Tony Curtis in this cult 70's television series?). Due to legal issues, however, we were not able to put in on the net, but who knows what we can do in a later stadium... The second track is litterally a "lost" track. At the moment we think it is hiding somewhere between the hundreds of digital tapes in Gert van Santen's studio. Gert is now trying to rediscover it, but when it's found, you can be sure it will be put on the web as well. There is only one thing that people seem to remember about this track: it sounds a bit like the early Jean Michel Jarre...

So if you would like to know how the first Wave World album *could* have sounded, go to www.mp3.com/Wave_World and enjoy! Oh, and don't forget to check the new (backstage) pictures we included for you (click "images" to go to the right page).

We wish all of you a merry Christmas and a musical 2002!
